3 days Safari from Nairobi to Taita Hills
Saltlick & Lumo Sanctuary ending in Mombasa
This safari which begins in Nairobi and ends in
Mombasa visits Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary, a
natural migrating corridor for elephants and an
important breeding site for lions and Taita Hills
Game Sanctuary - a conservation area located
at the foot of the Taita Hills adjacent to Tsavo
West National Park. This is a 3 Days 2 nights Taita
Hills Saltlick and Lumo Sanctuary Safari from
Nairobi ending in Mombasa
Safari Itinerary
Day 1 : Nairobi - Taita Hills Game
Sanctuary/Lumo Conservancy
Pick up from your Nairobi hotel very early
in the morning and drive through Mombasa - Nairobi
high way To Voi town then proceed drive to
Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (400km away from
Nairobi). You will check-in at Sarova Taita hills
Game lodge for lunch and a short rest. Afternoon
safari game drive in the Taita Wildlife Sanctuary
then proceed to Sarova Taita hills Game lodge for
dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Taita Hills Game Sanctuary/Lumo
Conservancy
Pre and after breakfast game drive looking for
animals. Later on game drive at Lumo conservancy.
Check in Lions bluff Lodge which is located on top
of a hill ,where you can view wonderful landscape of
nature from your tent. After lunch relax until
04.00pm where you will have coffee/tea then proceed
for afternoon game drive to track lions, buffaloes,
gazelles, giraffes, aardwolves, antelopes and
elephants. After your game drive, relax before
dinner and overnight at the lodge. The lodge is
built on a hill with an awe-inspiring view over the
plains, and a backdrop of the Pare Mountains in
Tanzania, Taita Hills and the Chyulu Hills adjacent
to Tsavo West.
You will be back in your Camp in the evening for
dinner and over night.
Day 3: Lumo Community Wildlife Conservancy to
Mombasa
Wake up to a cup of coffee or tea, and then
depart for an early morning game drive in the
sanctuary. Lumo is a community-based co-operative,
and works with the farmers and residents of the
surrounding area to manage the land and water
sustainably so that both the wildlife and the people
can benefit, ensuring a healthy future for them all.
Return to the lodge for breakfast, and thereafter
drive back to your beach hotel, with lunch on the
way.
